What is the deal with Chicago BMW?

I ordered parts over a month ago now and nothing. I'd written them 3 emails checking status with no response. Finally called them on Tuesday (9/16) to check on my order that was placed on 8/17. Javier told me that all the parts were in, and he gave me his personal guarantee that I would have my parts "tomorrow or the next day". Well, today is Thursday, so that would be "the next day" Guess what? No parts still!

Called them up when I got home and didn't have parts on the guarantee day. I was told now that one of the parts they received was the wrong one. They've sent it back and are now waiting on that part before shipping my order. Hmmm, guess Javier's guarantee isn't worth a crap either. So now it's been more than a month and I'm still waiting. He did tell me that he would ship out what they have when I made it clear I wasn't too happy about the wait.

Still don't have my parts, still waiting. And that was with a guarantee.

I won't be ordering from them again, and spreading my opinion when and where I can. I'll pay the extra 5 or 10% and order from Max BMW. Always happy when I order from them and I get the parts in a reasonable time period. Max and Beemer Boneyard both.

I know you're pissed but there is a search feature and this has been a thread many times. That's what the search feature is for, putting your opinion in the existing thread instead of starting a new one about the same thing.

Here's an idea...cancel the order and visit your new Indianapolis BMW dealer.

Jeez Louise, Andy has already been dumped on by poor customer service; do you really need to add to his misfortune?

Robert

P.S. Chasman does make a point (albeit sorta sarcastic like). If you can, Andy, cancel your order with Chicago and place it with another dealer.

Yes Jason, I could have replied to another, but I'm not riding on someone elses shirt tail. I'm more than willing to stand up and tell my story too ane make it known that Chicago BMW has a problem with their parts sales. Isn't that what forums are for?

You're right chasman that I should have ordered local. It's just been so long since we've had a dealer, going on-line for parts is just second nature.

Yeah I tried supporting my local dealer and after buying 2 new bikes in a year Tag Sport BMW in West Chicago yanked the marque (just about 6 months after I bought the 2nd bike). So now I'm with Cycle Werks in Barrington and should have bought my bikes there as well.
My $.02.

I know right, the old thread has to be what, a whole WEEK old? :banghead

It's not riding shirt tales. Its keeping the forums orderly and helps people to find all the information in 1 spot, instead of 1,000...:scratch

You're right, I stand corrected.

And the fact that there are several treads on the subject points out there's a problem.
