Those will be child safe scissors that you are running with then?
White lining is a taught practise in the UK, part of learning to ride responsibly and "make appropriate progress", as the police term it, when teaching it. Stupid, is a pretty swathing comment.

well from what I saw of the video, I'd say riding like that is stupid and while they may teach it in the UK, there have been enough injuries in the DC area because bike riders don't pay any attention to traffic sign and regulations (even though they are just as obligated to do so by law) they have started to crack down on such. I'd be willing to bet if it was vid of guys on motorcycles there would be a quite different take. And having been a messenger and doing much of that kind of riding at one point (though obviously I needed a bit more space and didn't run red lights!) yes, I can say that looked to me to be pretty stupid.
As for the "running with scissors" it is supposed to be more in a humorous vein, just as my sig and "State of Confusion" or your "I prattle..." line, Don’t take everything so seriously….
but perhaps you’re just having a bad day?:dunno

still pretty stupid whatever the ride.
This is what you wrote. The whatever ride doesn't appear to be specific to the video footage, does it?
I'd agree, where it's illegal, then it's stupid. Where it's not and where it is taught (indeed you can fail your test if you don't make "appropriate progress", then it's not stupid...hence the use of the term "swathing".
Runs with scissors, seemed to be contrary to the message you'd posted, an observation and nothing to do with my temperament.
I suppose white lining comes down to experience of it. Without any, in an environment where it is practised, how can anyone pass a comment like, "still pretty stupid whatever the ride"?

RM, I'm replying to what's there. I wasn't offeneded by your post and please don't imply I'm overly sensitive about your post.
It may just be my imagination, but since taking on this Mod mantle, you appear to have become more fractious. Where's the RM that helped start up the Photography thread?
Runs with scissors is inconsequential to my post. It was and still is, the all encompassing "whatever ride". Focus on that and I'm happy if you decide to juggle broken glass.
