52,000 miles on my "New" RT

I've got less than 400 miles to break the 52,000 mile mark on my new R1200RT. I purchased it new in April, 2005 from Touring Sport BMW in Greenville, SC. I live in Beaverton, OR now and can't seem to find a straight road anywhere. LOL

I've only got 2,300 miles on my 08 RT but after reading a few horror stories, I've decided to get some guards for mine.

I know this isn't really the topic of this thread, but I have the Touratech stainless steel engine guards and I love them. They saved me from a lot of damage when I forgot to put the kickstand down 1 week after installing them. They are also good for mounting footpegs on.
