Maybe I'm the only one who can't remember this... but when I'd like to create a new thread, it takes me 5 to 10 minutes to remember the procedure. It's not that difficult... but I obviously don't do it often enough to remember and I find it a little confusing to figure out. I begin by trying a search for "create forum" without results, so I've created this thread so it DOES show up in a search :)
To create a thread, you need to be in the forum in which you want to create a new thread. Normally, I log into the forums and click NEW POSTS, so I can review all new posts for all threads and all groups. To review the forums available, look in the upper left corner of the browser window and you will see your current location. Since you are reading this, you should see ">> BMW MOA > Off-Topic > How do I....." as shown in this image:

Click on BMW MOA. You should now see the "welcome" screen, shown below.

There are three main forum ares: MAIN, TECH, and OFF-TOPIC. If you don't see the list of forums under each group, to the far right side you will see a circle with two arrows pointing down instead of the two arrows pointing up (which can be seen in the image above), click the circle and double arrows down to drop down the list of sub-forums. MAIN, for instance, has 5 sub-forums under it: Ride Reports, Clubhouse, Chartered Clubs, Gear and Rally Forum.
Click on the Forum in which your message belongs. You are taken to that forum's page. Under the banner and the quick links you will see a NEW THREAD button, shown below:

Click it... enter your title, your message, click SUBMIT NEW THREAD and you're done!
