I have an 03 F650GS. The bike runs well except when I stall it on the road. It is very hard to restart sometimes taking 4 or 5 minutes to get the motor started. Once restarted, it runs ok. It's just the hard start after a stall.
Any suggestions as to a cure?

Just because it is easy & cheap to do, and might fix your problem, I would get a bottle of Chevron Techron engine cleaner and use it on your next two fill-ups.

Do NOT put too much in the tank, ... you'll have to kind of "do the math" to figure out what fraction of a bottle to use. A little overage is OK, but don't dump the whole bottle in 1 tank of gas. Very good stuff:

I've had this happen before and have found that if I turn the key off and wait a second or two, then turn it back on the bike will redo it's power on tests and start right up.

Give it a try, it works for me.
