service due on OBC screen

as a new BMW brand owner (08R1200GS) can anyone tell me how to cancel service word on OBC screen. I have already tried disconnecting battery

I've never seen that appear on my 07 GS.

I wonder if it will remove service codes? I'll ask Ted.

From waht I understand, only the dealer tech can "remove" it by hooking the bike up to the diagnostic computer and re-setting it. I also hear rumours that the GS-911 manufacturer is working on an update that will allow it to be re-set through that (GS-911) device. Don't know if that's really true, or just wishful thinking.
