On my RT, the idle is at about 800 when warmed up. I think this is too low- should be at about 1100.
It also makes smooth shifting more difficult.
I read that one adjusts he BBS's to raise the idle. I only see one access hole in my tupperware to adjust the right side.
Does this mean I have to remove the left side to raise the idle?
TIA

TIAJeff,
Yes, you will want to remove the tupperware and perform a good BBS (Big Brass Screw) cleaning and throttle body sync. You will need a manometer to do this and there are many posts on this forum to guide you through the process.

OK, that's what I thought. I didn't really want to take the stuff off, but it's all in a good cause, I guess.
I have a manometer and someone to help with it.
Thanks,
Jeff

prior to doing a TBS, be sure to do a valve adjust (including rocker arm end play) if it has not been done recently (last few thousand miles). and while under the tupperware, plan on doing any other possible services (air filter, fuel filter, etc)- to save time and labor down the road.
