Return To Heceta Head Lighthouse

I joined three friends on motorcycles yesterday for a 375 mile loop to the Heceta Head Lighthouse. Located 8 miles North of Florence, OR it is claimed to be the most photographed lighthouse in the United States. We rode through periods of heavy rain when we neared the coast but knew that all we had to do is wait a few minutes and all would clear. You can tell from the photos we were right. It turned out to be a 13 hour journey and lots of fun & fellowship.

Great pictures, thanks for posting them. I was there a few weeks ago but I couldn't see the lighthouse through the fog. I did get a picture of that cool bridge that you can just see in your second pic though.

That indeed is a cool bridge. Not everybody gets a kick out of a beautiful bridge but it flips my switch. LOL

My SO and I are on a car trip (the only way I could go this far with her) and will be staying in Newport from Tuesday through Saturday. Nice to see the pictures of the Oregon Coast - I'll be taking some of my own very soon. Ride well.
