OK, so I've done the basic snooping around the area, the header, checked the nut to see if it's snug ( thought it may have just been loose ), but I'm not finding the spot where it's blowing oil from - minimal amt., only when riding, doesn't drip when parked and is coming straight back onto my boot, break pedal and dripping a little onto the exhaust. I have the HAYNES Mechanic Manual, but it really doesn't trouble shoot...Any ideas, suggestions? Thanks.

Setting aside a broken piece of metal, there are only a few places that can leak oil on those cyliner/head assemblies.

Head Gasket
Base Sealant
Cam Sprocket Port
Filler Plug Outer Ring
Filler P;ug Inner Ring
Valve Cover Gasket
Valve Cover Bolt Grommets
Chain Guide Bolt

If it aligns with your boot it sounds like either a head gasket or Cam Sprocket Port O ring.

Clean everything up and spray the suspect area with white powdered antiperspirint. The oil source shows up easily in the white powder.

donut o-ring around the spark plug? did you have the valve covers off recently?

I could claim I consider that part of the valve cover gasket .... but I won't. I just plain forgot it.

Need to go adjust some valves so I remember stuff like this. :)

BTW/warning -don't go 'tightening' bolts on the valve cover in case the leak is coming from that area. Those bolts are highly susceptible to pulling out the threads in the head. They have only a VERY small torque value.
The most likely leaks are the cam cover on the back of the cylinder, and the rubber donut inside the valve cover that seals around the spark plug.
Once you clean things up, come back here with mo info.
