HI , I'M A NEW OWNER OF A R1150RT AND WAS RIDING AND HIT A POTHOLE AND MY RIGHTSIDE MIRROR FELL OFF. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM? ALSO GOT ABOUT 600 MILES ON IT AND HAD TO ADD ABOUT A HALF QUART OF OIL. IS THIS NORMAL? MY OTER BIKE IS A 650 DAKAR. SORRY FAILED TO MENTION NO DAMAGE DOON TO MIRROR SAVED BY THE WIRE.

Don't be shocked about the oil usage, mine used a tad early on too, but now with 4600 miles it is not using any noticable amount. And it runs and shifts smoother too. I don't know anything about the mirror mount, but maybe it wasn't attached fully or something. Did it get destroyed, or were you able to salvage it? It should be covered with your warranty. Enjoy the bike.

Woo. Easy on the caps there, big guy. All caps are generally regarded as shouting. :D Not sure what to tell you on the RT mirrors.
