Can anyone refer me to a book or publication on increasing R1100R performance? Exhaust, cams, chips, etc., that might be recommended, what can be done, what shouldn't be done. I've done performance wrenching on many airheads and know they run dramatically stronger with a good exhaust setup, but the 259 engine is a different animal. My R1100R seems to be a little choked down. Any directions appreciated.

Try HERE (http://www.omexperformanceusa.com/R1100GS.html) They seem to have a big following.

Thanks for the responses. I checked both places out and got some good tips. One off-the-wall question, does drilling small holes in the end of the stock exhaust cause any harm? I did it routinely with airhead cones from JCWhitney so I could keep the original look but add a little German bark, not too loud. Worst case is a new exhaust, which I'll probably invest in anyway.

It will do no harm, but no performance gains either.
