Hi Guys , today I ventured off from the heat here in Las Cruces and headed east on Hwy 70 to Alamagordo NM then east to Cloudcroft NM (About 8000' in the pines). I then went north through the mountains to Ruidoso NM , then down the mountains to Tularosa NM . Then headed south back to Alamagordo then on to White Sands National Monument and back to Las Cruces.
The mountains were perfectly cool and almost void of traffic. My mind had said I was going to do the twisties but once there I chose to slow it down and breath the air and feel the coolness poor over me. There was a similar ride report in Rider magazine recently by a young lady. I have been the route many times in a cage but to travel it in the open is a dream! I didn't want to leave the mountain!
Here are some pictures.

This picture is at the old trestle of the old narrow guage train line to the lodge at Coudcroft.

This is myself at the same location.

This is a lone meadow I had to stop at with apple trees near the old buildings.

This is one of the two hazards I encountered on the way. Many cows and two deer.

I have been in the monument before so just took the bike and sign.
Thanks for looking , Mike
