I've really been enjoying my new to me '87 K100RS this summer, and am already considering an upgrade next spring. I love the idea of 140 hp on the later K1200RS, as well as the refinements in suspension engine smoothness I've read about.

What I haven't read is has there been any improvements to the nuclear heat issue of the '87 that frys me to a crackly crunch on hot days? Also, is the seat height more like the tall and stretched '87, or somewhat lower as in R1100?

Thanks

No, heat is not an issue on the K12RS. I know first hand how hot the K1100RS model is. The new RS fairing design routes any heat away from the rider, even when going slow through town.

Thanks Chasman!

110kmi on a '02? That bike isn't going to rust out on you, is it!
