On a 1994 R 100RT we have an issue with the forks. There seems to be a bit of tweek in the forks with the plate test and the left fork seems to be a tad farther out than the right causing the fender to cant. I am guessing it is in the upper fork brace or that the upper fork brace is bend or damaged from a blow in is past PO but havent got it off to check yet. Question is on the brace is it better to try and straigten out the plate or just replace the thing???
While Im on the forks is it possible to get any tweek in the brace clamp just below the top brace? It looks like its cast and pretty heavy to be tweeking???
Thanks for the advice

While your fork may be bent, a twisted front fender on monolever twins is usually caused by the brake line that connects the calipers. The only way to fix the fender twist is to remove the hard line between the calipers and convert the front brakes to two lines between fairing and caliper hard line as they were up to 1985.

Seems you have hit on a second problem that is also present. Thanks for the insight. Set the forks as straight as we could get them and evened the suckers out as close as a redneck could and still have a bit of tweek in the fender and I see what you mean about the brake lines.
We think for now we have close enough for lift off . Winter in the rockies will let us do the fine tune boring stuff right now its ride time.:thumb
Thanks
