Okay, that might not be as true as was the Nascar and baseball and bull riding, however it will be my first sort of professional game here in the USA.

I did see Chicago v someone else, back in the 80's, in a pre season exhibition game at Wembley Stadium, in London, Walter Peyton, William Perry, Mike Singletery, Mc Mahon at QB and some of the others whose names I forget. In fact, back in the 80s I helped set up a team that played in the first ever season of the BAFL, British American Football League. We had about 40 teams around the country. Ours was made up of a Canadian Coach, Canadian Wide Receiver, American QB and the rest of us were Brits. We'd get thumped every time we played someone that had a USAF base nearby.

Chuck Knox heard about our team and sent some game plays over. The next game we played, we won 102-0.
Anyway things have gone in a strange circle and next weekend I'll be watching my first Seahawks game, where they'll play the Bears, in a pre season game.

So this time, instead of you all replying with how the game is played, because I know...what I need is this:

There's a team in the UK called the Leicester Falcons. Their coach is one of my playing buddies from back in 1986 and he needs your help.

If any of you have American Football information or contacts that will help his team, please email him at:

Colinbranagh@aol.com

Take a look at the Falcon's website and you'll see how seriously they are taking this... no school funding, no college money, no salaries, just guys who enjoy the game.

Cheers folks.

Knowledge.
First hand experience to use. Forget the sponsorship thing, although that's always an option, but primarily, knowledge, education on how to play the game better.

Perhaps even support, just to know that there are folks in the USA with some football credibility that he can ask questions of.

Love the idea of the football clinic.

On the big issue though, I think it's a standard pea whistle.

Cheers
