Can someone tell me what age tires are Gone or used up their traction, flex or whatever word you would use.
Im refering to age of the tire not miles, how long you can safely use a tire after it is manufactured wheather it is kept in the garage or outside but at some point they get hard unusable. We pulled the ones on the last bike we bought before we rode it at all they were 15 or so years old but new tires:doh :doh .
They were hard as glass and no one in there right mind would ride on them, at least I dont think. But at what point do you generally figure they are getting unsafe and not gripping or doing their job right??????
We have a new R 100 Rt an its tires are good tread about 80 % left but they are pushing at least 4 years old?????
