I just spent 2 hours installing the Omega 400 Watt Alternator System.
Went in without a hitch as the installation instructions were very well done.
Rick Jones of Motorrad Elektrik was excellent to deal with!
It's nice to have "MORE POWER"!

Did you have a problem with the stock system or was this just a chance to try the new? Great guy to do business with for sure

I did the same thing last spring but with the Endurlast. Went in so easily I thought that there must be more to it. Sure like having the extra power for driving lights, heated stuff, etc.
My old stock 27 year old alternator had died, windings shorted out when a brush let loose. Won't have to worry about that with the new one - no brushes.

I have gone through several components over the years so I finally decided to bite the bullet and go for the Omega System.
I pull a Bushtec Trailer and the closer came last year when I was going to the 4 Winds Rally and I was stopped at an intersection with my signals on, headlight and brakelight on and I had to hit the horn and I blew a fuse. I was in the red on the volt meter so far I over loaded the stock system. That won't happen now!

I have had the Omega system for a few years now and I am very happy with it.
I have also heard good things about the Enduralast sysyem.
It does not matter which one you have it will not stop a fuse from blowing.

I think both the Omega and Enduralast are excellent. When I got mine the Omega was quite a bit more expensive than the Enduralast. After talking to people that had both systems, I could not find any fault with either one other than price landed at my doorstep.
Almost anything is better than the stock system when you start loading it up with extra stuff. Now to see if it will last another 27 years like the original did. Hmmmm.
