Is anyone using a Walmart Everstart Maxx battery in their airhead? If so what model & are you happy with it. The catalog doesn't have a listing for the Maxx battery (It's an AGM type) but according to the specs they seem to be close to an Odyssey.

As a matter of fact, I am! I have a 60/6
I just took the battery box measurements with me to the store, and got the biggest one that would fit.... It is considerably smaller than the battery box in the fore-and-aft dimension (width of battery), so I had to mount it sorta centered in the box so that the top clamp would hold the battery.
I have been quite happy with it, but have only had it since May. I have been re-doing this bike from a sadly-neglected bike, so the battery has had quite a workout in cranking to get started, tuned, and so on. I would buy one again.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll head back to the store & get the one that matches the odyssey pc680 as closely as possible

They do have an obnoxious yellow sticker on them: I masked around it and gave it a shot of black paint, so now I don't have to look at a big bright yellow spot behind my engine.....:dance
Found a photo (I thought I had one, but couldn't find it for the previous post), this is what it looks like from the top. You can sorta see that I slid the battery forward a little to be able to clamp down with the batt clamps.

Hey, you've freed up some storage space behind that battery! I've heard people use small spaces like this to store items that might be needed...can't think of anything now other than an Anonymous book (heavily wrapped up, of course)...too thin for an inner tube...maybe you can get creative!!
