Now Assembling F Troop (with a bang and a boom...)

Why? Saturday, October 2, RIDE for March of Dimes
Where: Starts at Berlin Raceway in Marne, MI
(Marne is a little NW of Grand Rapids, MI)
How Much: $25 a person includes a nice lunch
PLUS: You can raise $$ for the March of Dimes by hitting up family members and co-workers, friends and enemies, etc.

I participated last year and there were hardly any Beemers. At the end of the ride there was a nice catered lunch, a rock band, bike show, silent auction and what not.

Lorazepam and Bradford Benn on their respective Beemers are in. My nephew on a Kaw Concours and sister-in-law on a Honda 750 will be riding with us and I have recruited Susan - a great lady who rides a Harley sportster.

Added incentive 1: BMW Grand Rapids is hosting one of four rest stops along the 50 mile Mystery Ride.

Added incentive 2: Cliff will burn a Special F-Troop CD of music for every participant. Variety of booty shaking toons.

Wanna come and join us? Drop me an e-mail and I will get the info sent to you. (A good friend of mine is on the Board of Directors for the Michigan March of Dimes, so I am under pressure to produce!!!)

Yup, the ears and tail are getting retired for special occassions. By my definition any charity event is a special occassion so the ears will be making a come back for this ride.

Plus getting me, Cliff, and Lorezapam in the same room at the same time is just down right funny.

Make sure to bring your screaming eagle headlight kit.

That's funny - it was already on my calendar. You mustuv mentioned it before, Cliffy. You're right - it would be nice to see more Beemers at fun, charitable events like this. In fact...I might start a thread about a similar ride in WI.

My little track experience is at Grattan. There is a humdinger of a turn on this track - they call it an "off camber" turn. When going clock-wise it is a hard(ish) left that falls off (down?) to the right. Hard to splain but it will be fun to learn how to ride through it properly.
I ordered the book "Twist of The Wrist II" as recommended on the SBTT website by many of the instructors.

Hey BG - were you planning on coming over here for the March of Dimes ride? DANG, alla way from Wisconsin?? (My nephew Korey is watching the big bikes race over there as we speak....er, write.)

More Beemers for the Ride please!

You're just the next state over - it's not that far. I'd love to come, pending work of course. Maybe I can incorporate a ride up and over Hwy 2, through Mac. and down the coast...Hmm.

Speaking of the big races - I was at the track for the practice day Thursday (I was THIS CLOSE to Matt Mladin having dinner!!!!) and will be there tomorrow. I'll keep an eye out for Korey on the Kaw.

The Gang of Four will go almost anywhere for a ride - especially for charity.

Being that BoxerGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrlie is one of the founders, she has to hold true to its founding rules. Riding is fun. Riding with fun people is great.:clap :bliss :brow :D

Like BG said, if work allows.

I've got a ride planned to Manitowoc, WI. Ride up Tuesday afternoon, meetings on Wed and then back to the house.

BG any good route suggestions besides 94 or 41? And no I can't take 2 around the top of the lake. It's a time thing.:dunno
