Already seen the whole series (what is it, 6 hours?), but I've got my ticket to see this in the theater.

I'm riding my GS, meeting my wife in Eagan, MN, which is the nearest theatre ito us.

Watching this on CD on the stupid TV with wide screen and HD does not compare to the big screen.I can't wait.

I would take my son, but he's in Ohio at skateboard camp...

I have wanted to see this for quite awhile.

Hope they have GS parking...

Thanks for the heads-up! I'll be at the Cinemark Merriam!

Wow! It's actually showing at a theater in Toledo. Now all I need to do is find someone to watch it with, else I'll be going it alone. :doh

... maybe I can talk one of my non-riding friends into joining me.

In the meantime, I'm walking back downstairs. Fox reality is showing Long Way Round, at the moment. They are showing Long Way Down on Saturday at 9 or 9:30pm, I believe.

I'm going to be at the showing here in Marin, in San Rafael. The local dealer, Marin BMW, bought a whole bunch of tickets and gave quite a few away.

Can't. Wait.

The movie is showing in 2 local theaters. One is close to the dealer in the well heeled part of town and the tickets where 21$ each. The other theater is in the city and the tickets are 10$ each. Which place would you go.......:stick

Just got back. $10 was a little spendy, but the show was pretty entertaining. Really makes me want to go back to Egypt!

Now, to get the DVR set up to record the FRC airings of the whole series.

I took my 14 year old - no killing, no sex scenes - pretty comfortable family setting. Was a good entertaining story - no real plot or anything but makes one appreciate living in a democracy - the scenes in Rwanda of all the skulls and clothing from the kids massacred by the militia is pretty moving.
Great photography and pretty good dialogue between the main characters.
An enjoyable evening.

I took my wife, and a couple of things came out during our conversation on our 40 mile drive home:

My old Joe Rocket yellow Jacket gets replaced with something a bit nicer (yippie!)

And I get fur sure to go to the Rally in TN

The best? She has consented in considering riding around Lake Superior in a couple of years with me double up and my son; now thats a first! She also seemed to listen to me about the great tours around Scotland on tour bikes to Hotels that were there (where her family came from 80 years ago) .

I feel like I died and am in heaven!

See Eve went along with the lads...and that helped!:p

Just got home from Minneapolis (3 hour drive) after seeing the flick. A coworker had previously downloaded the six episode version that played on the BBC for earlier this year and I was able to watch it. And compared to the six episode version I can say I was only mildly impressed with the movie. However, it was nice to see it on the big screen vs. my small laptop screen.

The crowed theater seemed to enjoy the light humor. And the comments from the folks around me were quite entertaining as they all seemed to enjoy the movie quite a bit.

If you happened to have missed the movie, you will not be disappointed when the six episode is shown on the tube.

I think the theater folks in the north Dallas and Plano area seriously misjudged the numbers of motorcycle fans. I went last night to the Cinemark Legacy where it was shown in a small theater that became totally full well before the start time. I'm sure they had to turn people away.

I had already seen the series, but still enjoyed the 2 hour compilation. Africa and Egypt almost require a big screen.
