Tattooed men, yes or no?
I must confess to taking rides with non-bmw riders too. There seems to be an extraordinary amount of the men who ride that have tattoos, some on the arm, some on their backs, or shoulders.
Why?
Do we find it attractive as women to see inky men?
If it's an expression of individuality, why do they get the same tattoos?
Is it a fashion, a bike culture an emulation of females?
Ladies, men and tattoos yes or no?

no. yucck! I can see me when I'm old and frail, some nurse is washing my behind and makinng jokes about the BMW tattoo on my butt...nope. anything that perm does not get a place on my body.
Now I have been contimplating getting my left ear? perieced, and putting in a Ed Bradlley (60 minutes) stud in my ear; BUT I am unsure which ear says gay and which says heterosexual. If I screwed this one up, I would never live it down!

Why? Would you have to change your sexual preference if they put it in the wrong ear?
Traditionally straight men pierce their left ear. Of course who wants to be traditional. Would a straight guy with his right ear pierced be sexually confused?
And what if you are gay and haven't come out? Do you change the ear after you come out?
Does the fact that women pierce both ears make them bisexual?
What do other body piercings mean?
Or maybe it is all meaningless. Ooops, that's a different thread.....
This is all very odd.

Steve, If you knew me you would know. Rule #1 always hide your wife and daughters when introducing me!

It depends, I guess. I don't find a whole body full of tatoos particularly appealing, even if some of them are fascinating - intricate artwork & all, but I don't mind a few select, smaller pieces. That said, I've had one on my ankle for about 8 years. My husband got his 2 after that - one representing our committment and the other a maple leaf over his heart (we're Canadian). He's thinking on a design to represent our 2 children as well. I have no problem with that.

My wife wants me to get her name tatooed on my arm. (I have no tatoos at this point) I told her hell no, the day after I get Desiree' tatooed on me will be the day you loose your mind and leave me. Then what would I do. LOL

I asked my wife and her response was no. Then she amended her answer to say if it's one or two tastefully designed and placed tattoos, she has no issues. The full covering of ones body or body part (arms, legs, back, etc) -- no way.

Did anyone NOT see this coming? LOL
Has anyone seen the new reports that at least 50% of tattoos are considered for removal 5-15 years after doing them, and new studies have found laser removal (which is extremely effective treatment for such removal) just leaves massive doses of toxins and carcinogens in the blood as it burns up the ink?
I just wish this and that other thread would not put this practice in such a humorous or favorable light, as it could be one of our teen kids heading right for that problem, right now. After seeing that report on 20/20 I believe, I told each of them how grateful I was they strayed away from that practice.
As a father of two women, I say after this report, that a tattoo is no longer an option, unless you want Chuck somewhere private, years after you divorce him. Remember what laser removal does.

my daughter (now 30) has several, one rather large flowery thing in the middle of her lower back, we're talking a good 12-14 inches round. She recently addmitted to me that she wishes she hadn't gotten that one, her kids (6 and 3) keep asking her about it and she is kinda stuck trying to explain it to them. The other small ones 1 inch or less she seems to still like, though. I'm at a loss as what to tell her cept I that I never understood why she got them to begin with.. but she was an adult when she did so it was her choice and now she's kinda stuck with it or suffer the scarring to have it removed. I did tell her she might consider just keeping it, seems the better option in the end (least to me). Oh, well...

That Jimmy Buffett song, "Permanent Reminder of a Temporary Feeling" has three verses. The first is about tattoos, the second about marriage, and the third is about kids. Gotta love it. :thumb

It's like asking if you like redheads.
It depends on the Gentleman.
And if he takes his clothes off for you, there could be a surprise, at which point decisions can only be a harder preference proposition to factor than previously.
Historically, tattoos are low-class, but class is esoterically dependent upon the character of the individual.
