Just curious if speeding tickets are communicated between states, for example ticket given in Kentucky, Virgina, Ohio etc. are they reported to home state of those of us receiving the prize(say Michigan)
Not that I have gotten any mind you but I might of had the chance on the way home from GMR.
Thanks
curious in Mi.

Almost all states now communicate, so I think it's prudent to assume that the answer is "yes." OTOH, federal tickets (e.g., from a ranger in Yosemite National Park) don't show up on the state tallies.

Some places in Canada also communicate with nearby states. Such as New York and Ontario.

i dont think they go after you, but they lie in wait. a guy over on the r1150r.org board had a snafu in NYS when there was a 20 year old paperwork glitch on an unpaid parking fine. he got pulled over for speeding, and the cop arrested him and took him downtown. this was in armpitville or someplace. so this dude lives in california, goes to visit someone in NYS, and ends up in the slammer for a few hours while it gets sorted out. pretty lousy.
here in texas i think you need to get above a certain threshold before the cops hassle you. but if you have an unpaid fine in a state, and you get stopped, youre likely to get some flack. my policy is to pay my fines, except in south dakota. im never going back, so why bother? ;)

The insurance companies also have a database they can access regarding any moving violations you may or may not have. It may be the same database used by the LEO's.
