Just bought 2002. Front wheel barely spins freely due to brake pad contact. Is this normal? If not, can I make a minor adjustment to decrease contact? How?

Same thing happened to me after my last tire change. I slacked off the caliper mounting bolts and the axle pinch bolts a bit. I then held the front brake and bounced the forks up and down a few times to align things. I retightened the caliper bolts and then the axle pinch bolts. This cured most of the drag. There will always be a little. HTH :)

Yep. I'll bet you need to get all that stuff realigned correctly.

I kinda got in a hurry when putting on new brake pads. I pulled the caliper off a little to aggressively and I'm pretty sure I warped the left disc. The wheel would not turn freely at all and after riding around a bit the left disc was warmer than the right one.
I tried out the brakes and they still worked fine. So I went ahead with a planned trip to Blueridge Parkway, Hilton Head SC., and an unplanned diviation to Deal's gap on the return trip. After the first couple hundred miles The tire rotated freely and everything appears to be in order....I probably didn't do my new brake pads any good....:cry
