I know there are at least two peg-lowering kits and maybe three bar riser kits for the K1200S. Pirates Lair (http://www.piratesk12site.net/) is a good place to start looking.

good luck,

If you go to the BMW Superbikes forum and then to the K1200S site you can do a search and you will find a number of posts, pro and con dealing with your quesion.

Lowered the pegs on my 06 K1200S using the Evoluzione Lowering Kit. Made a huge difference on the knees, but I will tell you that weighting the pegs during agressive riding does not seem to be as effective as it used to be. I also had to add a shift lever extension as I kept missing shifts after I lowered the pegs.

All in all it took about 20 minutes to do everything, and my knees have thanked me for it.

FWIW, I looked at a K1200S with the raised bars, and it threw off the handling of the bike IMHO. It also blocked the view of the guages which drove me nuts.

I have put 14000 miles on the bike, at least 2 of those were 1000 mile days. You get used to the position, and it is really not uncomfortable. I guess what I am saying is you should probably make sure you have a problem before you go fixing the problem. You may regret the changes.

When I buy a bike - and I have done this a few times in the past - I first decide what I want to do with it and if the bike's ergonomics fit this purpose.
Frankly, no other motorcycle brand community (and I am member in a couple of others) has a larger amount of people that use footpeg and handlebar location modifications. It seems to be a unique BMW "problem". Surprising, if you consider that BMW offers quite a range of different bikes to fit different riding styles and different riders. There must be a certain chemical that makes a large number of people go to a dealership and select a "S" or "RS" bike and subsequently turn them into touring models with lowered pegs, raised bars and taller windscreens:banghead

There is one community I have in mind in which they probably don't really need to worry about ergonomics all that much since the next bar is only 2 blocks away from whatever barstool they happen to be perched on at the moment :hide

I have been riding the K12S since '05 and it does seem to be a little more sporty in riding position than the K100RS and K1200RS were. I got used to it. I did put a 2" taller tinted windshield on it (Secdem).
