I see that we have a chairman of tire pressure for the rally. What will these folks be doing I wonder?
Lurking about secretly checking tire pressures and putting slackers on report??
Seriously I hope that these folks can offer a standardized air pressure source for those of us to check OUR own tire gauges so that we may go and validate those of others.
See you soon!

Bruce Davidson and the /5 Black Sheep will be running the tire pressure station. The BMW MOA has purchased some gauges (I don't know what) and will have an air source. The primary purpose of this service is to remind people to check their tire pressure, and make it convenient to do so. Come by and blow your tires' mind! :dance

Google underinflated tires, then read that about 85%+ of cars have underinflated tires. Most m/c riders also drive cages and I am sure most of them treat car tire inflation the same as their m/c tire pressure. Read what improper inflation offers.
I ride my old bike everyday and check tire condition and inflation atleast everyother day. Works for me.

Will they be selling air? Like nitrogen or just compressed?

Is Wyoming air heavier than they have at the Top of the Rockies Rally, up in the mountains of Colorado?

The best air for your BMW motorcycle's tires is BMW OEM Factory Air. That used to be available but is no longer. After extensive research, the /5 Black Sheep have determined that the air at aprox. 4,000 feet elevation, just west of the Rocky Mountains, and half way between Colorado and Montana is almost identical to the BMW Factory Air. As luck would have it, Gillette exactly matches those requirements. If I were you, I'd bring along a lot of big balloons or garbage bags so you can take home a year's supply. :D

This thread reminds me of the movie Spaceballs, where they were trying to steal the air from the planet Druidia. :rofl

There is a secret spot (I'd have to kill ya') in Idaho where "Factory Air" can be found in the wild. It's in the middle of the best, and most secret GS road in the state. I would never tell anyone, despite how many beers or rum-and-cokes they might ply me with... :beer
