I hate having to post this message. I was injured fighting a fire which means I need surgery to correct torn ligaments, torn miniscus and squished cartilage in my right knee. I will be in surgery tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. sharp. So this means that I will not be attending the Gillette Rally.
I would like to announce that Mr. Don Burns has stepped forward and will be the First Aid Chair. Don has an extensive backround in Firefighting and E.M.S. His training was done in one of the most outstanding fire departments in the nation, Fairfax County, Virginia.
For those of you that have volunteered to work First Aid at the rally. I cannot THANK YOU enough. Here is Don's phone numbers to contact him.

Cell- 719-963-9521
Home-719-264-8584

I again want to THANK YOU so much for your support. I am so disappointed that I will not be able to work with all of you. The BMWMOA is my second family. All of you will be sorely missed.
Please be careful and ride safe.

Sincerely
Pat Carol

P.S.

If you have any questions for me. You can call me at home (989)-727-3813.

God Bless you all for a safe and fun journey!

Damn Pat, so sorry to read the news! I'm guessing that you'll be recovering by the time you read this. I hope that all went well and that you'll be up and at it again in very short time.
I enjoyed meeting you at a rally in the past and was looking forward to catching up at this one.
Don has already contacted me.

Take good care of the knee and keep us posted on your recovery!

Talked to Pat yesterday. Scope went well, and they were able to "unfold" the meniscus in lieu of removing it.. Cartilage takes time to rebuild.

He was in good spirits, and now has to heal and do his PT (pain and torture)

:dance
Oops no dancing yet:wave

Tough news right in the middle of the riding season. Thankfully not more serious.
