I am going to be leaving Very early on Tuesday the 15 and had planned on riding straight through and getting my saddle sore 1000 certificate.

I have heard that a few other people from the Washington State BMW Riders Club are going http://www.wsbmwr.org

You might post a message on the club forum and see if you get a response.

What are your plans?

My husband and I like to ride at night... so we'll do a few hundred after work on Monday. Probably stopping in Spokane or Coeur D'Alene... then either to Billings or further on Tuesday depending on the mindset on that day/night.

We are hoping to be there by Wednesday night. We will be camping...

I thought about doing the Ironbutt 1000 as well, a perfect opportunity but I'm not sure I really want it that badly this year.

PS> I did see your posts at the local BMW site... looks like there are a few others coming from this area.

I had planned to go from Gold Bar, on Highway 2 to Spokane, but decided against going to this rally.
The camping doesn't look to hospitable. I just don't like dirt napping and BYOS.
No Sherpas, as I have plenty of gear.

I had planned to roll the two wheeler into SSBMW prior to the Rally. I no longer will use "RidePast"...
Unsafe bike returned to me and then they denied it. All four nuts on rear wheel were backed off 1-2 threads. Scary!

Weren't you on April's ON cover?
I was on May's! HA! Back to back Seattle-ites!

Anyway, have a safe ride... Watch for wildlife running at night! Lotta deer and coyote.

Have a nice ride.
I am going to do I-90 all the way so maybe we will pass along the way. I am going to be camping in the sherpa village so that I would not need to haul any camping gear.

My wife is flying over on Thursday she was not into doing 1000 miles nonstop. I just can't understand why not! She is also flying back on Sunday. Someone has to work in this family. I am going to take a week going back and that should be a lot of fun.

With 6000 people showing up maybe we will bump into each other. If not have a great time. It would be nice if there was a way for people from the same area to some how get together. I am new to riding in Seattle so meeting other BMW riders is fun.

If we should pass along the way I will be on a Black R1150RT with of course a Washington Plate.
