Looking for someone with a BLUE 1977 R100RS with solo seat that has the origional decal that says 100RS in white letters below the BMW roundel. I would like someone to take a picture of the decal so I can duplicate it for my bike. I am having no luck getting one from a dealer. Please help.

Can't help...But I would also like a good picture of the Paris Dakar logo that looks like a stencil, I can't get that from the dealer and would like to add it to my tank...even though cosmetics aren't supposed to be a consideration on a GS;)

From capitalcycle.com:
Seat decal: 52 53 1 235 871 R100RS White $5.72
Didn't notice any PD stuff. BMW was getting kind of sticky about their trademarked brand a few years back, I doubt there are any companies out there making replacement decals. Just try finding a old "motoman" sticker. I should have kept up with all those graphic designers I went to school with...

OK, does anyone know anyone who is willing to design a decal on a commission basis? Graphic artists? Cartoonists? Anyone?
Pls advise. TIA

Any of those sign shops will be happy to do graphic design work if you have the $$. Otherwise you can try contacting Scott Davidson at Northern Colorado BMW and Ducati...he's a guy I met that is going to school for graphic design and works in their parts dept.

Fang, got a drawing program? A printer? Go to a hobby store and get a pack of decal sheets. Make the logo on your PeeC and print it up. If you can wait a bit, I'm planning on making some of these for my Duc resto because the original "transfers" are NLA and the only thing you can get are "stickers". I'll let you know how it works.
The guy at the hobby store, when I asked him how well they turn out, replied: "How do you think the decal companies make them?" Apparently the trick is to get the "fixative" coating just right. Obviously decal companies do this with large machines.

Yeah, thanks Lorazepam. That Decal Zone site looks good. I'm thinking I need a Union Jack "Nekkid Girlie" for the Triumph! And someone on the ST site was looking for an RAF Bulls-eye for his, I passed the link along to the ST digest.

I tried to see what would come up for a Paris Dakar decal at that decalzone site. It does look close enough for me...but I don't think it's a decal. It says "...Shipped decal is not on a backing, it is just the letters masked together for easy application."
So is this just the same vinyl stock that they cut the letters out of at the sign shops? I was hoping for something that layed flat like a decal that needs to be soaked in water before you put it on.
