For now. Is that seat hinged? I have the passenger end cowling in place and don't want to take it off, easy as that looks, if the seat isn't hinged. I can't find a lock or release on either side like the old R100's used to have.

Thanks, again

The whole thing pops off. You'll have to take cowling off. One of the things I actually liked about my Corbin was the big knurled knobs that let me take the cowl off in about two seconds without tools.

The seat has a latch at the rear and the front end fits over a pair of rubber bumpers mounted on the frame.

No hinge. The lock is under the cowl. You have to remove it to take the seat off. Thats where your tool kit and insurance/registration holder is.

That's kinda what I remembered. Dang inconvenient. IIRC the R1200s does have a hinged seat so that ou can more easily gert to small items and the insurance card.

Thanks
