Help I was out riding on the interstate today running arount 80 got hung up in some slower traffic dropped down to 60 when I worked my way around the traffic I tried to speed up the RPM's went up but I didn't go any faster was almost like the transmission was slipping.I just hope one of you fine people will tell me it is something cheap and easy to fix.

If RPM is increasing but MPH is not, it would be your clutch slipping. Not easy or cheap but might be in the DIY realm for you. Good luck.
+1 on the clutch slipping.
Is the clutch adjusted properly? I.e. Some free play in the cable or lever.

If you haven't, adjust the clutch by the book - including the adjustment a the rear of the transmission and see where you are.

With the cable also working the auto sidestand retractor I always put that up with my foot before pulling the clutch. I have disliked that system on both of my K75 bikes. You need to make sure you have that clearance at the clutch handle, approximately 1/8".

As weird as the mechanical side stand retraction system is, arguably it's better than the electrical "kill" switch system BMW used on my K1. There's a switch bolted under the center stand with a long tab which contacts the sidestand when it's folded up. If the switch goes bad the bike won't start, and to fix that requires removing the centerstand and chasing the switch wire up under the seat/tank area some place. Mine is intermittent and several times I've sweated getting the bike to start after using the sidestand. The quick fix is to chop the wire and tie the ends together - but then you have to remember the sidestand on your own. :cry
