Has Anyone Had A Problem With The Radio On Their Rt 1200 Shutting Off While Riding. When Mine Does To Get It Back On You Have To Turn The Key Off And Then Back On To Get It To Work Again. This Has Happened 5 Times In The Last Year. The Dealer Say Bmw Is Trying To Figure It Out And In The Mean Time To Turn Down The Bass But It Still Does It. I Should Get A Partial Refund For The Cost Of The Radio Since It Does This.

I have an '06 RT and the radio has shut off once. I assume that I had the volume up too loud and it drew more power (?) than the controller allowed for that circuit and was automatically shut down.

My real problem is that my horn gets shut down if I sound it too many times in quick succession.

P.S., why do you capitalize the first letter of every word?

Do you have the stock horn on your RT? Just curious because when I got my '06 it had a real Japanese sounding horn instead of the deeper toned one that was on my '94 RT and the '06 demo I rode. I looked in the IPB and it showed a BMW automobile horn on the bike not the wimpy unit they gave me. I bought the auto horn and replaced the one on the bike. I never thought about electrical overload and I've never had a problem. (Maybe that's because I usually turn on the left turn signal instead of sounding the horn.)
