Tech Day Success!!!
Today's BMWBMW Tech Day was an unqualified success!
A total of 10 oilheads showed up to participate. Even a couple who thought they would just watch!

John and Linda were perfect hosts, serving a large dose of hospitality along with a great location, tools and an awesome lunch prepared by Linda! We couldn't have asked for better accommodations!
It started a little slow with a few bikes showing up around 9.

We got started with arranging the victims, I mean participants, in the garage and changing oil while the bikes were still warm. No shortage of heat today.

Even Jeff, got busy with his bike, though he SAID he just wanted to watch. In the end he took off his Tupperware and get a TB sync as well as an oil change.

After the oil was done, we had a great lunch out on the patio. Linda did a fantastic job and made some very tasty BBQ Beef!

Michelle was a natural. She did an oil change, Valve adjustment, TB sync, throttle cable sync, and changed her plugs. Then went and helped Jeff and Bill check their TB sync!

In the end Anton not only repaired a non-running GS by completing a 6K with a zero-zero adjustment, but also fixed my dog and helped me to realize just how great an R1100RS could run.

On mine we adjusted the TB sync (twice), completed a Zero-Zero (twice), checked the timing, and finally adjusted the butterfly stops in the TBs. You know, the bolts you should NEVER touch? We touched them and then some! The bike runs fantastic with almost zero surge now.
Anton was all of our saving grace and is a credit to our club! An awesome person for the tech chairman position!
All in all everyone learned a lot about their bikes, had a good time, and made some new friends!
Long distance award goes to Dan from Princeton, NJ, and our trailer queen even came from Pennsylvania! Both left before the final pictures were taken.
I am looking forward to the next one! John has graciously volunteered to do it again. I guess we didn't scare him off after all!

PS 2 had left a little early, so we only have 8 in the picture!
