In the dead of summer my heated handgrips failed! THe fuse is good. I have a wiring diagram but don't know where the heater control is. Looking for any ideas to help troubleshoot this..

I don't believe there is a controller, just the handlebar switch and maybe a bi-metal switch that opens with temp. You could have an open wire, element, week bi-metal or a bad switch.

I had one fail on an 1150R - was replaced by the dealer under warranty. Not sure what type of bike you have or if it is still in warranty . . .

Fuses can look good to the eye but really aren't, it is still a good idea to swap the fuse to know for certain. One indicator is if it is one side only that isn't heating, or if it is both sides. Both sides not working means something common. Since each side is separately wired and plugged in, I'd try the fuse.

I filled out the profile. First time here. Both grips are inop. I did replace the fuse . there is power to the fuse. Guess I need to get into the switch. 1997 1100 GS
