74 R90/S DelOrtos

My son is re-assembling his 74 R90/S and is having a hard time connecting the throttle cables to the carbs. Must be a trick. The Clymer manual is no help...says look at exploded view. Please help!!! Thanks, Rick R

it is fiddly [and easier with the cables not connected to the throttle]

iirc, with the carb top in my left hand/palm, I compressed the spring with my left fingers, then offerred the slide up with my right hand, guiding the cable through the large hole and then sliding the eye across till it locates.

then gently release the spring pressure

remember to get all the rubber bits on/in first

I've found clymer [dont know which edition] to have the most info about dellortos]
