KRT Electric windshield not funtioning

I have a 91 K75RT with an LT electric windshield that I installed several years ago. Worked great until recently. It failed to operate a couple of times last fall when I would push the rocker switch. Then a short time later (same day) it would work fine. Good for a few weeks and then it would go through the not work/work phase again. Bike sat all winter in the cold garage. This spring it did not work and continues not to work.

Any suggestions to where I should check first? Thanks for your help.

Not sure if it is the same but I bought a k1100lt with the same issue. The previous owner was mechanically inclined and he thought it was a relay. There are 2 that operate the winshield. He replaced both and it has been fine since I bought it in January. 'good luck
