Hi everyone,

I have a 1990 K75 standard that has the old style integral BMW hard bags that were purchased when the bike was new. I recently had an accident and will need to replace the bags (well at least one, so why not both).

Can anyone tell me which new BMW hard bags, or other aftermarket hard bags will fit and install directly onto the oem rails?

Thanks for your help.

If you're sticking with the BMW mounting rails - only BMW bags will fit. No aftermarket will fit the rail, and the later (Oilhead, hexhead, later K12) bags also will not fit. There were three iterations of the "Integral" bags - any of those will fit.

Hi Don,

What if I remove the original rails? Are there other manufacturer's brackets/rails that would fit and enable me to use their bags?

Thanks again.

Thanks again.Dunno.. prolly Givi, be worth a visit to their website.

Why not just buy a good used replacement for the bag that was damaged? I suspect that will be lots cheaper in the long run.

I just thought since I never liked the size of the bags (too small for my needs) and I need to replace one, I may as well see what my other options are.

I sent an email to Givi yesterday to see what they suggest. I like the Givi top case so it wouldn't be bad to get side cases to match.

Please post here if you find other options beyond the BMW cases. BMW does list OEM cases as available, but they're pricey. What else is new...

BMW - pricey? No way, I don't believe it!

I'll post whatever I hear back from Givi.

I got a response from Givi and they don't have side cases/fitment kits that will work with a K75. Only the top case.

Looks like it's gonna have to be BMW after all.
