F650?

Any of you F650 owners have airheads? I'm thinking of getting ride of my Triumph Bonneville and getting another BMW in addition to my R80/7.My first thought was a K75,but now I'm thinking of the F650. Any airhead owners have one and if so how do you like it?

Own a K75 and have previously owned an F650. The K75 is a lot more bike with significantly more power. If you are going to add electrical farkle be certain to evaluate the electrical output of the the F650.

I have an F650 Dakar, an R100GSPD and a K100RS (amongst others) and ride for fun and commuting to work.

The 650 and GSPD get the most use, I try to swap between them on a weekly basis. IMO the old-school GS isn't as suited for short trips around town as the 650- that fuel injection lets you hit the button and go as opposed to fidddling with the choke/enrichener. The K is really too much for my surface-street commute which rarely exceeds 40mph.

The 650 is great, ease of use, fuel mileage and the Chain Gang all contribute to a great riding experience.

I have an R100GSPD, and an F650GS.

Love both, but as stated, the 650 is the best town bike.
And heaps better on fuel.:laugh

If doing miles, then the GSPD comes into its own. Just so easy to ride.

I have owned 4 oilheads, and I believe for me, my current combination is one of the best I have had.
