I got to do some fairly serious riding today after opening up the left side of my K1200RSport's airbox and installing a second air filter.

I am VERY pleased!

As noted by others, the engine, now cured of its emphysema, develops power much more smoothly at the low end, thus curing the annoying stumbling at low throttle settings (and, yes, the throaty Porsche-like intake noise is nice)

This was a budget-driven DIY project using a cut down K1200S left hand snorkel and a stock BMW air filter. I promise I'll be buying Ken's Evoluzione kit soon, though, to take full advantage of the mod.

I have one concern. I used a stock clip to secure the top of the new air filter to the modified airbox, but can't find a way to clip the bottom. As it is, I've jammed a second clip between the computer cable and my homemade filter frame, but that just won't do. Any ideas? and how, for that matter, is Ken's piece secured? (I dunno -- maybe I should ask HIM :-) ).
