Does anyone know a source for a Hella headlight lens and reflector assembly that would fit in the headlight "shell" of a 1982 era Windjammer IV fairing? The part I need is a thick glass lens bonded to a metal reflector. It is approximately 7" in diameter. It is similar to the old sealed beam headlights that were used on cars in the 1960's except with this one the lamp is a separate part. It uses a standard H4 lamp.

Molded into the glass front are the following symbols:
H4 - (large in the center)
1R7/R2 - (lower, smaller, near the center)
009-111603 - (at the lower edge)
SAE MP 76 - (at the lower edge)

There is a blue paper sticker on the back with the numbers:
1A6-002-395-03
and the words:
Lampe H4

Unfortunately I am not able to post a picture at this time.

Thank you.

Pretty sure that is a standard Hella automotive headlamp. Should cost you in the neighborhood of $50-$75. Try Daniel Stern Lighting (http://www.danielsternlighting.com/home.html). He tends to prefer Cibie (@$76) but if you push him and tell him I sent you, he can get you Hella as well. ;)

Oh; and so as not to offend him (he is a perfectionist only lightly tolerant of ignorance), the terms of art are:

Bulb - the H4 thing that mounts in the back of the reflector.

Lamp - the entire assembly that includes the lens and reflector.

You want a Hella lamp.
