Can you help. I have a r1200r

I have gone throught a number of screens.( 20" cee bailey, the small ztechnik and how the larger just released ztechnik screen. ) Unfortunately i am still in need of about 2 inches in extension. I have contacted Laminar lip but they do not work with the Ztechnik screens as they have a different curvature.
I have seen a number of older bikes with what look like home make? extensions
on their fairing/shields.

Any suggestions where I could acquire or purchased ?

Thanks, Brian from Burlington, Canada

I bought an adjustable windshield "spoiler" from Twisted Throttle that I mounted to the top edge of my Parabellum windshield on my R1100RS. I feel it is the only thing that really does work to reduce buffetting and it gives me some fine-tuning adjustment of the windshield edge to move the air bubble up.

Its made by MRA, costs about $75 and really seems to work. More than I can say for the different windshields I have tried, and that goofy looking Saeng edging, which didn't work.

Brian, over the years I've fashioned several windshield extensions, using both plexiglass and donor windshields. The link below shows one attached to a standard BMW screen using nylon hardware - bolts, nuts and spacers. The extension is cut from a donor screen. You may need to scroll down to post #63

I've also mounted them with plastic hinges which allowed for adjustability, which I fabbed up from bicycle reflector mounting bits.

These have always worked extremely well. The only drawback is that they do, indeed, look homemade.

Currently I am using a Cee Bailey #2 Euro cut on the R1100RT in the picture. For me, the CB is perfect.
