Boxer Cup - weird grips

New member. Hello to any other proud boxer cup owners. I pulled off the grips that came on my 05. The left hand side used a plastic sleeve that was screwed into the bar. Drilled and tapped no less. Is this original? Thanks in advance for any help.

If I'm understanding what you're saying, yes. The plastic sleeve is stock. It makes both grips the same size. PITB when replacing the rubber on the grip.... Last time I replaced the rubber on my heated grips I had to buy two packages of gel Pro Grips so I could use two rights.

Is this original? Thanks in advance for any help.I have an '03 BCR and went to the dealer for some new grips - 90 bucks - yikes! Apparently, it's not just the rubber sheaths, it is the substructure, as you have learned.
