I've got an 07 RT that I want to put on an extra fuse panel. I have a Centec AP2 and the AP130 Relay. Where would you / did you mount it on yours? There seems to be alot of room under the driver's seat but since I've never even seen the bike without the plastic, there may be better locations. Also, id you worry about weather proofing it?

I mounted a Blue Sea fuse panel under the passenger seat with some heavy duty duolock.

I pop-riveted velcro strips to the feet of the Centech, put the sticy half on the top of the wheelwell (under the rear seat) and it has been soolid for a year now.

Mine is also mounted under the seat. Before you hide that fuse panel under the plastic. Remember you may have to change a fuse in the dark of night.

I mounted the AP2 under the passenger seat on my '06 R1200RT. I drilled 4 small holes in the plastic fender and used the 4 screws that came with the AP2 to mount it. So far no issues. The screws seem to fit tight enough in the plastic to prevent any water from spraying up in there and the do not stick out much at all underneath.

The velcro approach suggested above sounds like a decent solution also.

I also installed a weather proof inline 30A fuse wire that I bought from NAPA between the thick red battery hookup wire with the relay kit and the positive battery post just as added protection.
