Saw new lowered "short frame" R1200GS at dealership

This may be old news to you guys, but it was news to me.

Just got back from BMW Daytoma Beach, they have the first "Short frame" R1200GS on the floor.

According to the dealer it has a "shorter subframe and a different seat", he said it has standard shocks.

My wife has an 07 R1200GS with short Olin shocks and the low BMW seat, the short frame bike she sat on at the dealership was LOWER!

By the look on her face I have a feeling that this is going to be expensive!

My wife just got one of these. It is about as low as a K12S with the low seat, which is her other bike. She really likes it...they say "Once you go GS...". We put the stock bags on it...thought about the new Jesse bags, but lots of nuts and bolts to that. Also, if you tie a duffle across the rear seat, you can't get into the Jessie bags with out removing it...like for a sweater, etc., since they open from the top. We went with the small tank bag since the large one (both new for '08) is so tall she couldn't see the instruments.
I measured the 2 inch shorter Hyperpro shocks we bought to lower a stock GS before she found out about this factory low one and they are the same length as the new low shocks. So that would come out the same with either set of shocks. Of course the side and center stands are shorter from the factory...I ordered those too in case we still wanted to go with the Hyperpros. I still cannot find any part #s for the side and center stands for the RT and R bikes which you can also order lowered. I did however find the low shocks for them on the ETK.
One thing on the GS is that the bike leans over a bit on the side stand. I ordered a Honig fat foot which is not supposed to fit the new low side stand, but maybe I can make it work. Anybody got a milling machine?
