This morning I got my first BMW bike. I've driven Bimmers for years and thought it was time to get into the two wheel side of things. It's a 1988 K100RS SE with 19k original miles. The bike is beautiful and runs like new. I have one issue though and after searching the web and this forum I can't seem to find an answer.

The bike is equipped with an UNGO alarm and didn't come with a manual. Can someone offer any insight into the operation of this particular alarm or does anyone have a manual of which I could get a copy? I have the remote but it doesn't seem to be working (two buttons) and I was told that cycling the key on/off would turn it off but it only seems to set off the alarm (this morning at 6:05 AM thank you very much!). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,
I can't help with your alarm but I am sure someone here can.
I just wanted to welcome you to the board.

Thanks ltljohn, I appreciate the welcome!

I just found a Yahoo group for the Carolinas chapter. Once I can get the alarm issue taken care of I can start trying to figure out a way to go to the ride in Boone, NC :p

Yuri, welcome.

Ungo is made (or at least distributed) by Clarion. You can download a manual for your alarm here:

Ride Oregon: Thank you so much!!!

I replaced the battery in the remote that I got with the bike and that seems to do the trick as far as turning the alarm off. At present I'm thinking of disabling it unless the manual will show me how to turn it off w/o the remote (with luck it will).

Thank you so much for your help!

Mike
