Went and saw Ironman last night. It was a good action movie.
Too bad Tony Stark was not into motorcycle design, we would be flying over the dragon's tail (literally)
Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts was nothing but sharp.

Do you like super hero movies and which one is your favorite and why?

My son and I went to see Ironman on Thursday. We enjoyed it. I always liked Ironman. No superpower other than his brain.
I enjoyed the first and the latest batman movies.
Spiderman has been good.
Never really was a Superman fan.
Sometimes an action movie to take your mind off of the real world is good.

I think I am the only person I know that thinks this movie looks embarrassingly dumb.

If you do go, hang out for a little teaser after the credits.

I went with my 2 sons last weekend.
Very good movie, we enjoyed it a lot, Robert Downey Jr. plays the part well, Gwyneth is adorable as Pepper, the villain is played to the hilt.
I had thought, that, due to the action scenes, graphics, sound, etc. that this was a movie that should be seen in the theater for maximum enjoyment. I don't think that's true, I think this would play fine as a rental on a decent TV and home sound system.
I've liked most of the comic book movies, i.e. X-Men, Spiderman, Batman, with the exceptions being the Fantastic Four and the last Hulk movie. There's a new Hulk movie coming out. Maybe this one will be better.
Waiting for the trailer at the very end after the credits means you have to sit there a looooong time. Man, who knew it took that many people to make a movie?

But you do have a great concept going w/ your blog. I used to do that very thing. Never thought to bring a camera... :doh
Now living in the PNW I've started to explore "Ghost Towns".
I may shoot those in infrared. Get that ghost look...
Sorry for the semi-hijack...

I've seen it.
For what it is (a summertime action movie) the film is really quite good. The two leads are given a lot of decent dialog to work with and the Paltrow/Downey chemistry works well. The action scenes are not over done. Many movies in this genre have an MTV/hyper-edited look, for the most part Ironman avoids this pitfall.
I think this movie is going to have a lot of appeal for those of us old enough to have read comics in our youth, not so sure about the current crop of youngsters.

I really enjoyed it as well. Fun and funny, good entertainment value. If you're not into comic books and super heroes you can still enjoy it for it's great cast and not so subtle social commentary.
two thumbs up!
