I'm sure this has been covered in past Forums, but can't seem to find any info. I don't like the position or coverge of the stock mirrors on my '07 RT. Has anyone found acceptable auxiliary mirrors to attach to the holes located on the handlebar controls? I've tried the little stick-on mirrors, but the position is still a bit uncomfortable (and hard to see). Thanks!!

I used the previous model GS mirrors. Absolutely huge improvement and does not detract from the overall appearance.

The left stalk needs be modified a bit by grinding it a tad. The opening at the switchgear does not align with the mounting hole. It's not noticeable at all when installed. No clearance issues with the windshield either.

It's truly amazing how much it helps.

+1 on the RS mirrors. Motorwerk is right. You can also use mirrors off of the GS, but the shaft on the GS mirrors is basically a long stick with round mirrors making the RT look like it's wearing Mickey Mouse ears. Those flexible mirrors might make more sense for rugged unpaved roads.

The K1200RS mirrors along with the necks are more aerodynamic making the mirrors more stable at speed plus the mirrors are wider. I used them when riding two up or carrying extra bags. You can still use the stock mirrors and the add on mirrors can be aimed wide acting more like the side mirrors on your car.

I'm about to put my old ones on the flea market.

I'm almost embarrassed to show the second photo. It's one of my first long trips when I thought the more stuff packed the better.

Thanks for the info. I'll start trying to find a set of RS mirrors. BTW, Randy, the photos look great, and overloading is an art!!

Slant K12GT mirrors fit, look and work great. R1150GS mirrors are fine, too. I have used both and both are major safety improvements.
