I am 75 years old and have 32+ years in the club and have been given life time free membership based on the rule of 100 recently established. This was 25 years continuous membership plus 75 years of age. I have a friend who is quite upset because he feels he should qualify as he is 80 and has 22+ years which would seem to qualify under a rule of 100. How about some opinions??

Purely from the sidelines, with no vested interest, nor representing the MOA, it looks to me like he's come up short on the 25 year part of it.

It's not really a rule of 100. If it was any combination totaling 100 would work. I got my first membership in Aug 2000 and was 37 then. Theoretically, in 2032 I'll be 69 and have 32 years. Do I still have to be 75? Otherwise, those youngsters that got started at 20 will hit "100" at 60.
