Yet another road hazad to watch for

So I'm on my way to work yesterday on a beautiful afternoon when I should have been riding the twisties. Hey I gots to eat. Anyway, I'm running 55-60 on IN 37 through Martinsville IN, which is a dual four lane highway. Ahead of me I see a guy run across the street. I thought to myself, "Hmmm thats weird." And continued on my merry way down the road. Suddenly about four seconds later some fatass jumps out of the ditch and starts to run directly in front of my bike. I did an emergency swerve, and barely avoided hitting the guy. I could have put my right arm out and smacked him. I did have the presence of mind however to shout obscenities as I was swerving, which hopefully he heard. Now I know that everyone has had the kid dart out in front of them in town, or a deer in the country side, but a middle-aged fat man on the highway? Wow. Some people are just stupid. Had to share. :)

Ha! Try cruising around some roads that are close, or maybe not so close, to the Mexican Border. I'm sure you've seen the signs with the family running... It's no joke. They see a break in the traffic and as Dennis Miller said.."It's like the start of the Boston Marathon with ponchos" Hola Senior... now please get out of the road.

Maybe that guy's car was in the shop and he was behind on his "annoy motorcyclists" activity. :dunno
