Hello. I have a couple of questions about the oil leak. There was oil leaking from around the starter, and oil was leaking from the weep-hole at the bottom between the engine and the transmission. I replaced the o-ring on the starter.
It no longer leaks from the starter, but it's still leaks from the weep-hole.
Could please tell me where it could be coming from. Thanks, Willie.

Willie - if it doesn't smell, chances are it's engine oil and it's leaking from the O ring that is located behind the big nut that holds the clutch basket to the output shaft on the engine. Other possibilities are the alternator drive seal, or the rear main seal.. but the vast majority of K bike oil leaks are from that O ring..

By now - it's 15 years old, and hard as a rock. Unfortunately - replacing it requires R&R of the transmission (good time to do a spline lube..) and disassembly of the clutch.

FWIW - ALL K bikes eventually leak from this O ring, but it doesn't seem to get oil on the clutch disk, so if it isn't a gusher - you can likely wait until you're going in there for something like a spline lube to address the leak.
