Anyone have one and does it actually improve gas mileage?
My ride is an ST and looking into getting a parabellum.

I ride a GS. I would be flat out amazed if a larger aftermarket screen improved gas mileage.

Now hold on a minute! Are you saying that someone might... ah... "stretch the truth" in their advertisements? I am SHOCKED! ;)

Does someone actually say that? :scratch
Obviously you can make very big things aerodynamic. And aerodynamics really do matter - the K75s was faster and quicker than its siblings simply because of its sleek shape. But I just can't imagine a barn door windscreen helping an already reasonably sleek bike slip through the air any better. :dunno

Parabellum advertises improved mileage in the O.N.
I'm somewhat skeptical.

I have a 2006 R1200ST and I like the added wind protection of Cee Bailey's Screen. Better rain protection, etc.
I have notice no adverse effect on my gas mileage w/ the Euro height screen in place. I do feel less drag on my upper body at road speeds which might relate to better mileage. The stock screen was a bit low for my taste.

Hi. I had a CeeBailey windshield installed on my R1200RT in january. It curves on the top line - in contradiction to the original, which is more "level" or straight cut. I bought my Ceebailey 5inch taller than original and after having installed it, I drew a horizontal line on top of it, put some tape on and sawed off the upper curve with a metal saw. Now it is horisontal-cut on the topline and fits to a road (normally flat-you know) and it gives the best protection ever.... I rode the whole winter in snow and rain - no problemo! Only drawback is, the bike is so silent that I heard my stock-mounted rear Dunlop whine as an old electric-train. The rear is worn-out after 4500Km (3000Miles) with typical heel/toe damage. Is now being replaced with Bridgestone BT20 ready to see Europe in May.

I just received and installed a California Scientific windshield on my R1200RT yesterday. It's too early to know about any change in fuel consumption, but I'm amazed at the difference in the way it feels. The stock was a bit too short for me and caused some helmet buffeting.
With the Cal Sci in the lowest position I get good air circulation, but it's smooth air - no buffeting. This will probably be best for our Dallas summers. I think that the opening near the bottom of the CalSci shield helps reduce turbulence. About half way up with the top even with my eyes I get just a little comfortable breeze. In the full-up position, I don't feel any wind at all. I ride all through the winter and I think this will make a huge difference in my comfort. I'm very pleased.
I ordered by phone on Monday (early afternoon). Mark helped my choose the right size. He shipped it out the same day and I got it about 9:30 Thursday morning.

I put one on my r12gs and it made a big improvement in handling / stability in windy conditions especially on the highway around trucks. I can't really tell any big difference in gas mileage. It may have helped ever so little. It certainly didn't hurt it.

I have an Aeroflow and it does impact mileage a bit. When I'm riding with a strong wind it acts as a sail and the mileage is a bit better. When I'm riding against a strong wind the mileage is a bit worse. But normally if there's any mileage difference its so insignificant that I don't notice it.
